New Book: LOOK AGAIN: Where Gratitude Begins — A 30-Day Reflective Journey

The Story Behind LOOK AGAIN

The Story Behind LOOK AGAIN

Every book begins long before the first word is written.

It begins with moments.

Conversations.

Questions.

Unexpected lessons.

Small experiences that quietly shape the way we see the world.

For me, LOOK AGAIN didn’t begin with the decision to write a book.

It began with a growing awareness that some of life’s most meaningful moments are also the easiest to overlook.

The more I paid attention, the more I realised that gratitude isn’t something we stumble upon by accident.

It is something we cultivate by learning to notice differently.

That simple truth stayed with me.

Eventually, it became impossible not to write about it.

A Journey Before It Became a Manuscript

Long before there were chapter titles, journal prompts, or printed pages, there was simply a personal journey.

Like many people, I found myself navigating seasons that brought both joy and uncertainty.

Some days felt beautifully clear.

Others raised more questions than answers.

Yet through it all, one practice continued to anchor me.

Reflection.

Taking time to pause.

To write.

To pray.

To notice.

To ask what God might be showing me in ordinary moments.

Looking back now, I realise those quiet practices were already becoming the foundation of this book.

Why Gratitude?

People sometimes assume gratitude is reserved for life’s biggest victories.

I’ve discovered something different.

Gratitude often grows strongest in ordinary places.

It appears in conversations we almost rushed through.

In quiet mornings.

In unexpected kindness.

In prayers that are answered differently than we imagined.

Sometimes the miracle isn’t that our circumstances immediately change.

Sometimes the miracle is that our perspective does.

That has been one of the greatest lessons of my own journey.

More Than a Book

As the manuscript developed, I became increasingly convinced that I wasn’t simply writing something to be read.

I wanted to create something to be experienced.

A companion.

A quiet place where readers could slow down without pressure.

A space where reflection becomes less about finding perfect answers and more about learning to ask meaningful questions.

That’s why LOOK AGAIN isn’t simply a collection of devotional thoughts.

It is a thirty-day journey.

One page at a time.

One reflection at a time.

One ordinary moment at a time.

The Story in My Own Words

While words on a page tell part of the story, I also wanted to share the journey personally.

In the video below, I talk about how LOOK AGAIN came to life, what inspired me to write it, and what I hope readers will discover through its pages.

I hope you’ll enjoy watching it.

My Prayer for Every Reader

More than anything else, my prayer is simple.

I hope this book helps you slow down.

I hope it encourages you to notice beauty where you may have overlooked it.

I hope it reminds you that growth doesn’t always happen through dramatic moments.

Sometimes it begins quietly.

With awareness.

With gratitude.

With one intentional pause.

And perhaps…

with choosing to look again.

This Book Is for the One Who Is Still Finding Their Way

This Book Is for the One Who Is Still Finding Their Way

There are seasons in life when we feel as though everyone else has figured things out except us.

We look around and see people moving confidently toward their goals while we quietly wrestle with unanswered questions, changing circumstances, and the uncertainty of what comes next.

If you’ve ever found yourself in that place, I want you to know something.

You are not alone.

In many ways, LOOK AGAIN was written with you in mind.

Not because it contains all the answers.

But because sometimes what we need most isn’t another answer.

Sometimes we simply need the space to pause long enough to hear our own hearts again.

This Book Is for the One Who Feels Stuck

Perhaps you’ve been standing at the same crossroads for longer than you expected.

You know something needs to change, yet you’re unsure where to begin.

The pressure to have everything figured out can be exhausting.

This book won’t rush you toward quick solutions.

Instead, it gently invites you to slow down, reflect honestly, and take one meaningful step at a time.

Sometimes clarity arrives quietly, one page at a time.

This Book Is for the One Carrying Too Much

Life has a way of filling our hands before we even realise how heavy they’ve become.

Responsibilities.

Expectations.

Disappointments.

Unspoken fears.

Before long, we’re moving through each day carrying burdens we were never meant to carry alone.

Reflection doesn’t remove every burden overnight.

But it creates space to breathe.

To process.

To notice what truly matters.

To lay down what no longer serves your journey.

This Book Is for the One Searching for Clarity

Not every season comes with obvious direction.

Sometimes we pray.

Sometimes we wait.

Sometimes we simply continue putting one foot in front of the other.

I’ve discovered that clarity often doesn’t arrive while we’re frantically searching for it.

More often, it appears when we become still enough to notice what has been quietly unfolding all along.

Reflection helps us see patterns we might otherwise miss.

This Book Is for the One Who Has Forgotten How to Notice Joy

Joy isn’t always found in extraordinary moments.

Often, it hides inside the ordinary ones.

A sunrise.

A shared meal.

An encouraging conversation.

A quiet evening.

A prayer answered in unexpected ways.

When life becomes busy, we stop noticing these gifts—not because they disappear, but because our attention is elsewhere.

Learning to notice again is often the first step toward rediscovering gratitude.

This Book Is for the One Who Is Ready to Begin Again

Perhaps you’ve made mistakes.

Perhaps you’ve experienced loss.

Perhaps life has unfolded very differently from what you imagined.

Yet every new day quietly offers us another beginning.

Not because the past no longer matters.

But because grace always makes room for another step forward.

This book isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about gently returning to the person you were always becoming.

An Invitation

If you’ve recognised yourself anywhere in these words, I hope you’ll receive this as an invitation rather than an obligation.

An invitation to slow down.

To reflect.

To become more aware.

To notice beauty in unexpected places.

And perhaps…

to look again.

Because sometimes changing the way we see is the beginning of changing the way we live.

Continue the Journey

If today’s reflections encouraged you, I’d love to invite you to continue the journey through LOOK AGAIN: Where Gratitude Begins.
